Civil Stalking Protection Order Issued against Fiscal Officer & Attorney Joel M. Spitzer

        She alleges in a court filing that he refused to leave her alone and is stalking her; see here a very disturbing text and her statement. The hearing is upcoming on 3/9/14. This isn't the first time though: a Civil Stalking Protection Order was also issued on Spitzer by a girlfriend a few years back in Bucyrus. Public records show that Spitzer has at least 35+ different charges since 1998 in various county courts in this area, including being sentenced to 180 days of jail and serving at least 10 of them.         This type of behavior is the norm for Mr. Spitzer; in Trustee Lisa Knapp's role, she has experienced nonstop intimidation from him. He has:
  • Shouted at her.
  • Called her names like "psychotic" & "delusional."
  • Accused Knapp falsely of numerous & random crimes including breaking into the township attorney's office to steal checks.
  • Made false statements about Knapp to supporters & other residents.
  • Harassed Knapp unrelentingly at every trustee meeting.
  • Threatened to have Knapp arrested numerous times.
  • and so much more.  
What is the reason for Mr. Spitzer's erratic and chaotic behavior?  Does he have something to hide at township hall?
         Mr. Spitzer makes it impossible for Knapp to get township records of any kinds. He lies in emails and at meetings, stating that  "all" of the employees are terrified of her and that sje must meet with him alone to obtain township information of any kind.   He refuses to leave the records with staff, has told his assistant she can't talk to Knapp, and he insists on a personal appointment with Knapp, but he's only in the office a few times per year. So, Knapp is unable to get the information she needs to do her job.  
        Orange Township Trustees Rob Quigley and Deb Taranto not only encourage this outrageous behavior towards Knapp, but they participate in it as well at public meeting because the three are good friends.  Check out the harassment for yourself here in these two videos. Conversely, you will find absolutely nothing that shows Knapp acting inappropriately at a meeting or otherwise.
